Good Monday.
So nice— I’ve done it thrice.

Normally, the third in a series tends to tie things up nicely with some finality. At least, that’s when it comes to trilogies. But this ain’t no trilogy.

I’m gonna milk this forever!

But really, I want these notes to mean something every Monday. I mean “Good Monday”, ya’ know? So I’ll be sharing as much as possible every week so that you can find something new to get you through. Whether it’s a helpful article, some inspiring artwork, or maybe just a meme that makes you laugh, I want my note to give you a little something special.

So let’s bust out that fresh sheet of paper, plop it on the desk, and get to writing!

But first… you can support my declining mental health with a paid subscription. I’m so insane, I’m giving you a free first month! You can try out being a Fiker by clicking below. Don’t like it… it won’t hurt my feelings if you let it expire at the end.1

FIT TO PRINT 📎

So here’s stuff I’ve written (or wish I had) that’s fit to print!

Diving Into Subspace (STELLAR EMPIRE - Lore)

We are currently creating lore, stories, artwork, games, and just about anything else you can think of over at JAMR, LLC in regards to our growing STELLAR EMPIRE universe IP. Here

Andrew Sears
has written up some lore about how faster-than-light (FTL) travel works in our universe!2

Diving Into Subspace
So here’s the deal: I love science fiction, but I’ve always been annoyed by how often faster-than-light (FTL) travel gets hand-waved away (same with instantaneous communication and starship gravity, but we’ll get to that later). Press a button, engage “warp,” and suddenly you’re sipping earl gray tea on the other side of the galaxy—no questions asked…

Born of Ash and Iron — Chapter 10 (Stellar Empire “Empirefall Chronicles" novella series)

Okay, I did not write this, but I have a hand in creating it with my creative gremlin cohort

Andrew Sears
and
Mike Rogers
, so I count the editorial process in with writing because they go hand in hand (or sometimes foot in mouth).

Haven’t read ANY of it yet? Unless you want to Tarantino-start-in-the-middle it, you can go to the beginning with CHAPTER ONE here.

Community Spotlight - Rooting for the Apocalypse by
Andy Futuro

Andy has this angonizing way of writing something that feels so effortlessly real that I kinda hate him right now… like in a good way. If you want to kinda hate him too, you can go check out Rooting for the Apocalypse on his substack. 🍻

THE JUNK DRAWER 🚮

I’m a collector of links, art, funny sayings, quotes, people, nostalgia morsels, and I toss them into a database I will never hope to mine and share out. But my general unhinged ADHD is your reward (weekly)!
